Assistant Research Psychologist

22.5 hours per week 

Salary: £22,500 per annum (pro-rata)

 

The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity specialised in working with vulnerable young people with emotional and other difficulties. The Centre is renowned for its psychotherapeutic and psychoanalytic work. The Centre has been offering mental health support and treatment to young people for over 50 years at our base, Laufer House in NW London, and we also offer a range of outreach services in schools, at the Brent Youth Offending Service and even on the football pitch through our Sport & Thought Project. 

The Centre is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant Psychologist to fill the above post. You will be assisting the CEO & Clinical Director, the Research Team Manager and the Research Psychologist in the development of the Centre’s Clinical Audit and Psychotherapy Outcome Evaluation. You will also be assisting in the development of qualitative research. The post involves working with a multidisciplinary team who provide information, advice, assessment and treatment to young people in the area of Mental Health.

Relevant experience in young people’s services is essential, as well as sensitivity and an understanding of specific needs of young people. Experience of working in child and adolescent mental health services is an advantage.
