Communications and Promotions Officer

Part-time: 22.5 to 30 hours per week                                                                                    Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum (pro-rata)

The Brent Centre for Young People is looking for a dynamic professional to develop further its Communications and Promotions activities. The Brent Centre is a charity based in North West London that provides psychotherapeutic treatments and support to young people aged 11-21 years, who present emotional or mental health difficulties.

The charity has an international reputation for its clinical and research developments. In 2016/2017, through its In-house and Outreach Services, the Centre helped over 600 young people to be healthier and better prepared for adulthood.

You will have a passion for developing our Communications and Promotions areas and for supporting vulnerable young people and a commitment to excellence and quality as well as a ‘can do’ attitude. You will bring a minimum of two years’ experience in communications, promotions, marketing or equivalent and an interest in developing other areas of charity communications and marketing.

You will be responsible for the Centre’s social media and will be working with the CEO, the Executive Assistant to the CEO, Fundraising Manager and other staff to achieve the Centre’s aims.

You’ll be educated to degree level, have relevant experience in the communications area, good written and verbal communication skills and excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. In addition, you’ll have relevant skills in using the internet, Microsoft applications and ideally, also databases.
