Fundraising Officer

  • Full-time (37.5 hours) or Part-time (30.0 hours - Pro rata) will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Location: Brent Centre (Brondesbury Park, London NW6 7TT) and various outreach locations.
  • Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per year - Pro rata (dependant on qualification and experience)

The Fundraising officer will be responsible to support the Fundraising Manager- Trusts and Foundations to raise and maximise fund from trusts, foundations, grant-giving organisations, and livery companies and to research and identify new potential supporters. The role will include to steward the support of key supporters, including through regular communications and events and to work closely with and support Brent’s Fundraising Manager- Trusts and Foundations, CEO & Clinical Director, Trustees, and key staff in implementing Brent’s fundraising strategy.

Clinical Administrator

The Brent Centre for Young People is looking for an experienced, dynamic person to join its Clinical Administration Team.

The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity based in North West London (Kilburn) that provides psychotherapeutic treatments to young people aged 11-25 years, who suffer with emotional difficulties and have mental health needs. The Centre has an international reputation and delivers world-leading evidence-based practices to young people across North West London. On average, the centre helps over 700 young people per year through its In-house and Outreach Services.

We are looking for an experienced clinical administrator with strong people and communication skills to help run our clinical services.

This post is an exciting opportunity to be part both of supporting the growth of this new service and supporting clinical administration at the Brent Centre within an existing small team.

The suitable candidate will have at least two years’ experience of clinical and/or general administration and reception duties. This post will suit a confident, reliable individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

You will be expected to be confident in IT skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level) and apply them to recording data accurately on a daily basis on our client database.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, can work to regular deadlines, can problem solve when faced with difficult situations, adheres to confidentiality and can communicate professionally, politely and effectively with young patients, their families, our clinical and non-clinical staff team and our external contacts, such as GPs.

The post requires sensitivity to the needs of young people with emotional difficulties and the nature of therapeutic work and their families. Experience with young people or with mental health is advantageous.

You will be expected to work a range of shifts between 9.30am to 6pm, 10.30am to 7pm and 11.30am to 8pm, to be agreed.

The candidate will have excellent skills, when carrying out duties of the post.

The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity, established in 1967, with an international reputation for psychoanalytic services for adolescents and young people. Our main office is in London, and Brent Centre Highlands is our first Scottish service.

Job Description:

This is an opportunity to be part of creating, developing and delivering the Highlands first psychoanalytic, accessible service for young people aged between 14 – 21 years. With an office and established base in Inverness, the service hopes to offer resource to young people across the Highlands in time.

The post holder will be responsible for reception and administrative support to the specialist clinical staff working with young people at the Brent Centre Highlands. The Brent Centre Highlands is a charity which provides information, support, engagement, advice, assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment to young people aged 14 – 21 years. Please note that part of running an accessible service for young people, means that we will be offering after-school clinical services up to 7pm. Please note this is not a role that can be delivered remotely.

The Brent Centre has offered pioneering psychotherapeutic approaches to working and engaging with young people since 1967, with the belief that adolescence is a crucial time to offer help. The Centre is active in training, research and publishing.

Brent Centre Highlands is an entirely new service, starting up in 2023, and we especially welcome applicants who can bring creative project development ideas and Third Sector experience, alongside sensitivity to young people and those using our services, and excellent administration skills.

It’s a great opportunity to be part of a shaping a service, with a high level of clinical support and learning opportunities for staff. As the new service expands and grows, we imagine the role for a dedicated administrator would similarly grow.
