This is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic community worker to develop further. The Brent Centre is a small charity with a friendly family feel. You will have the chance to work with an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist (Project Manager), highly qualified clinical staff, committed administrative staff and supportive Trustees.
The Brent Centre is internationally renowned for its psychotherapeutic / psychoanalytic work with young people, scientific publications and clinical research for over 50 years. It has helped thousands of young people to make positive changes leading to more stable and healthier lives.
This role is about promoting the Brent Centre’s Adolescent Mental Health Services among young people and the community and engaging and developing collaborative work with relevant local Voluntary, Community and Statutory organisations. The post holder would also provide practical support to young people with complex needs and overcome barriers to engaging with therapeutic support.
Build lasting relationships with key referral partners in the community, voluntary and public sector is central. The post holder will be part of the in-house clinical services team and work closely with statutory and non-statutory organisations to support young people and help them to overcome the barriers that are impeding their engagement with therapeutic intervention.
The applicant should hold an upper second-class degree in a relevant discipline. The Centre would support professional development.

The Brent Centre, as a charity, is very committed to supporting volunteers in a range of posts within our services and we welcome enquiries and applications to volunteer placements. We experience a high level of interest in our voluntary placements, and for this reason, we have two points in the year when we accept applications or expressions of interest.
Our next date for reviewing application to placement or volunteer posts is 30th November 2017.
Our Centre also supports placements for clinicians in advanced training, from the Tavistock Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy courses, Birkbeck University and the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
