2022 London Marathon team achieves key fundraising target

Date published: 11.10.2022

A team of committed runners completed this year’s London Marathon, raising roughly £10,000 for the Centre. On behalf of all staff and clients, we’d like send a huge thank you to Angelo Lupinetti, Matthew Birch, Saikat Chatterjee, Marco Alves, and Nina Wessels for all your tireless training and fundraising efforts, as well as Domenico Giansante, who sadly had to pull out just before the event due to injury.

Dr Maxim de Sauma, Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Director of the Brent Centre for Young People, said: “We’re very grateful to all the Centre’s keen participants in this year’s marathon. Thanks to your commitment and dedication, the funds you have all raised are crucially important to helping the Centre reach more young people, and offer them a safe space to explore their challenges together for as long as needed.”

If you feel inspired by these fundraisers and would like to take part in a challenge event for the Brent Centre, please email rupert.eyles@brentcentre.org.uk.  We’re already receiving interest for places in next year’s London Marathon, on Sunday 23 April, so please do contact us to hear more. If you have other ideas for challenge events that you’d like to sound out, we’re also eager to hear from you.
