The Brent Centre welcomed its latest ‘Team BCYP’ together for the first time recently at Laufer House to get geared up for the ENORMOUS 42km London Marathon challenge.
The team has been training hard in the run up to the 42km London marathon on April 22nd – both around London – as well as across the desert sands of Dubai and the mountains of Spain.
The Brent Centre team now consists of:
Lee Messina, an internet consultant, Luca Hunter and Andre Howell of the Brent Youth Offending Service – along with our ‘international set’ – Miles Entwistle and Tom Gregory - who have all volunteered this year to run to fundraise for the Brent Centre.
The final two of our five-strong team are on an international mission – Miles Entwistle – running for the Brent Centre for the third time – has been training in the heat of Dubai –whilst Tom Gregory has taken on the training challenge whilst travelling across the North of Spain.
We would like to send an especial shout out to Tom Gregory for doing brilliantly in his first month of fundraising – hitting 30% of his target – £615 of £2000, and Miles has also reached £570 of his £3,000 target.
Thank you Miles and Tom! And with six weeks to go – keep up the good work!
We are enormously proud of all our runners and the vital work they are doing to raise awareness of mental health and support the disadvantaged young people of Brent.
